The Corporation of London Wrote an on-line education resource for the Acting Senior Ranger of West Wickham & Coulsdon Commons, to be put on a new education page on the City of London website.

  •  

Essex Police Museum – Worked with the Curator to recreate the schools service at the Museum, as part of an HLF funded initiative. Designed six new educational workshops, including ‘Judy’s War’ and ‘A Child’s War in Chelmsford’ – oral history recorded  on DVD.

  •  

Hunterian Museum, Royal College of Surgeons – Worked with the Audience Development Officer to devise and deliver a workshop on anatomy for a family visit from the Camden Young Archaeologists Club.

Magpie’s Nest: An A2A Project – Worked with the Principal Interpretation Officer at the London Metropolitan Archives to produce a schools pack on the use of archival material, based on the resources of eight participating archives.

  •  

The Rhodes Museum, Bishops Stortford – Worked with the Curator and other staff on a new HLF funded schools programme to coincide with the re-opening of the Museum in autumn 2005.

Barley Hall, York – Worked (in conjunction with Sun Jester Consultancy) on an HLF funded initiative to upgrade and improve the education service at this 14th century timber framed building in the centre of York during 2004 – 2005.  PICTURES

The Historic Dockyard Chatham – Worked with the Education and Community Director to produce a KS3 Resource Pack as part of the ‘Renaissance in the Regions’ South East Regional Hub Educational Programme Delivery Plan.

Royal Armouries, Tower of London – Undertook an evaluation of the current education service for the Head of Education, using both observation and analysis of questionnaires.

London Metropolitan Archives – Worked with the Education Officer, to develop printable materials to support the Learning Zone, part of  the LMA’s website.  (See LMA website)

Broughton Castle, Oxfordshire – Worked  with Education Officer of the Historic Houses Association on joint HHA/English Heritage project to develop educational services in HHA houses. Planned and delivered two INSET sessions for teachers on how the Castle could be used to teach Art & Design, and Science, in summer 2004.  (See Broughton Castle website)   PICTURES

The Women’s Library – Worked with the Access & Interpretation Manager to set up and deliver a KS3 Citizenship workshop on Suffrage, launched in early 2003.

Canterbury City Council – Worked with the Museums and Galleries Service as Project Coordinator on ‘Discover Herne Bay’ –a DfES Museums and Galleries Education Programme Phase 2 project.  PICTURES

London Borough of Newham – Worked with the Education & Outreach Officer, Heritage Service to set up and deliver two KS2 & 3 workshops on ‘Travelling to Newham’ and ‘Continuity & Change’, launched autumn 2003.

  •  

Islington Local History Centre – Wrote an Education Policy for the Centre, in conjunction with the Manager, early 2004.

  •  

Design Museum – Worked with the Head of Education to develop a teachers pack, workshop and handling collection for the ‘History of Modern Design in the Home’ exhibition, November 2003 – September 2004.

Bromley Museum – Delivered a range of outreach sessions to local schools linked to Key Stage 1 & 2 curriculum areas.  Also planned and led family learning sessions, spring & summer 2003.

Museum of Childhood, Bethnal Green – Prepared new KS1 & 2 schools packs for the newly renovated Upper Gallery, launched September 2003

  •  

Discover Centre, Stratford – Worked on formative evaluation of preview school visits to Discover, (another Centre for Curiosity and Imagination) before its official launch, June 2003.

  •  

Royal Armouries, Tower of London – Planned & delivered KS2 Science workshop as part of Local Schools Week, November 2002. Still provide occasional cover for in-house staff.

  •  

Tower Bridge Experience – Worked with the Marketing Department to revise and upgrade existing schools’ resources for new exhibition, opened in February 2002.

  •  

The British Library – Worked with Education Programmes Manager to devise and deliver KS2 and KS3 ‘Mapping the Changes’ workshops for the ‘Lie of the Land’ exhibition of maps, September 2001 - April 2002.

  •  

Leeds Castle, Kent – Led project, in 2000/1, with Marketing Department, to launch education service at the castle; planned new KS1 and KS2 activities, writing education packs, piloting sessions and training staff.  (See education section of Leeds Castle website)
